TopStep brings its very successful concept of futures Trading Combine to the forex market.

Select from one of three forex trading account sizes: currently available with $200k, 300k, and 500k buying power. These are 100:1 leverage accounts meaning that the starting balance of $200k in a leverage account is equivalent to an account with $2000. 100:1 x $2000 = $200,000. When a trader completes a profitable trade, the balance adjusts. For example, a $500 profit closed trade in a $2000 account would result in a $2,500 balance, and buying power would go up to $250,000.

Two Steps of the Forex Trading Program

Step 1:

Profit Target - the amount of net profit required to complete the step and advance to the next stage.

Weekly Loss limit - Net Profit and loss can not hit or exceed this during the week. The trading week is considered Sunday 5:00 PM EST- Friday 4:45 PM EST. In 500K buying power account weekly loss limit is $3300. If at the end of the trading week trader has made $2000 in profits, after 4:45 pm EST Friday close, the step 1 account loss limit would trail up to $3700 (5000 + 2000 - 3300). Touching or crossing the $3700 balance would be a weekly loss limit rule violation. The weekly loss limit takes into account the week’s realized and unrealized P&L. 

Account Loss Limit - Can be viewed as minimum account balance. Trails up with each new high balance until it reaches the beginning balance. Account loss limit encourages smart account management and teaches traders to re-evaluate when things just are not going right. 

Step 2:

Step 2 is very similar to step one, the only change is that the weekly loss limit is added as a rule. To Further instill discipline, proper risk management and help traders be more selective in choosing trading opportunities. Huge losses can affect the decision-making process, so it is important to dial things in considering a live funded account is now so close. Congratulations! You are now a funded forex trader. Rules in the funded account are very similar to step two. You have to follow risk management rules and keep risk management strong.

What makes Maverick Trading different from other Prop Firms?

Lux Trading can find a middle ground between prop firms that can be funded immediately and those that need two-stage evaluations.

Lux requires a demo account to evaluate your trading. However, if you pass Stage 1 by making a 6% profit, Lux will move you to Stage 2. You can start to split any profits once you have started trading with real money.

It works this way: After passing the initial evaluation of a $5k, $10K, or $15K demo account, Lux will give you that amount in real capital for Stage 2. Lux will fund your account up to 10x the original amount if you meet the 6% profit target in Stage 2. This means you could have $150,000 in your trading account after two stages.

It would help if you made a 10% profit by then, and your account will be doubled or more each time you achieve that. A trader who started with $15K could reach $2.5 million in five stages. This is quite remarkable.

Lux pays very competitive profit splits, despite the simplified evaluation process. They are well above the usual splits for instant funders and comparable to the worldwide FTMOs at 65%.
